Employment contracts

Irrespective of whether a local employment contract or an assignment contract is concerned, specific local labour legislation characteristics must be considered when drawing-up employment contracts:

  • Job description including position, status on site (department, superior, etc.)
  • Weekly working hours
  • Public holidays and holiday conditions
  • Special allowances and/or reimbursement of expenses claims
  • Compensation for extra expenses (such as travel expenses, relocation costs, accommodation, journeys home, coverage of costs for family-related expenses)
  • Terms of remuneration (currency)
  • Required supplementary insurances and their respective cost coverage
  • Possible effects on occupational pension schemes

For assignment contracts, in addition:

  • Return conditions as well as bearing of costs in case of early return
  • Duration of validity for supplementary contracts
  • Occupational status in the company after the return
